MADRASSA

Police in Pakistan recuperated no less than 50 youngsters and young men from a strict theological college, Madrassa Zakarya, in Pakistan's biggest city, Karachi, late on Monday night. A large number of the understudies were of Pashtun identity and had purportedly been brought eagerly to the madrassa by their families to be secured and beaten as discipline for illicit drug use and trivial violations.

The understudies detailed that they were held with chains in the storm cellar of the theological college with little food, little rest and limited admittance to latrines and showers. The understudies guarantee to have been beaten with machine belts and lines, and some of them might be experiencing serious mental issues because of the proceeded with torment.

Numerous madrassas in Pakistan are accepted to be connected to jihadist preparing. Nonetheless, there is no proof up to this point that this strict theological school was connected to assailant movement. Madrassa Zakarya served basically as a "restoration" focus where young fellows and youngsters were shipped off be "transformed."

In any case, this episode points out the bigger public discussion that is required for reconsidering Pakistan's schooling framework - just as the effect of maltreatment on youngsters and youthful grown-ups at instructive organizations, strict or in any case.

By: Aqib, Islamabad

By: Zaid, Karachi
